I was told thirty years ago by a Bible college teacher that Jesus was referring to Gentile Righteous Men in Matthew 13:17 "Many prophets and righteous men desired to see what you see -"
Is there any evidence of how far back in history the practice of declaring "righteous gentiles" goes?
